I am the writer/owner of ‘MA! motherhood with attitude.’ The artist/owner of our company, Tiffany, will add her two cents on this blog now and then, as well. Tiffany and I often talk about the struggle to earn a buck through our freelancing as we also try to make the ‘MA! dream’ come true. Our mission is to expose ‘perfect parenting propaganda’ for what it is: hogwash! We adore imperfect parents (and embrace the fact that we are among them.)

Overheard in the Car

Dave and I had a date last week (seriously!) and this is a snippet of our car conversation…

……..

(Fiddling with radio)
Dave: I like track 1. It rocks!
Janalee: Yeah, it’s good but track 4 is my favorite. (pushing buttons to #4)
Dave: Come on! Track 1! (pushing buttons)
Janalee: Track 4!
Dave: (waving hand before console like Vanna) Driver’s cockpit. Hands off.
Janalee: Can we compromise with Track 14?
Dave: FINE!

….

And now, I reveal the CD we were listening to… HANNAH MONTANA’S BEST OF BOTH WORLDS! That is the most recent CD we own by nearly a DECADE! What has happened to us…?

LOL! I totally get where you are at! when the kids are in the van, we are pretty much required to listen to Radio Disney. On the rare chance that I find myself alone in the car, a few times I have realized that even though I have a whole plethora of Sirius Radio stations, I am singing along to Radio Disney. Aargh!

Oh, that brings back memories. I listened to Disney Radio long after my kids became teenagers. It’s infectious…and force of habit. Same way I continue to watch football after my hubby leaves the room.

Glad to find your terrific site. Just because I’m a mom doesn’t mean I can’t be HOT!

At least you get to listen to something half-way good (read: adult). I am still at the kindermusik stage. The other day I found myself alone in the car singing “one fell off and bonked his head…mama called the doctor and the doctor said…”

And I had been driving and singing for over 20 minutes!
