SOME THINGS IN LIFE ARE WORTH WAITING FOR
* I am waiting for uni-brows to come back into fashion because I hate plucking my eyebrows.
* I am waiting for Prince Charming to ride up, sweep my daughter off her feet and marry her so that I can live happily ever after.
* I’m waiting for my grandchildren to move closer… so I can teach them to be just a rotten as their parents were!
* I am waiting for the dandelions to sprout so I can have a green yard again.
* I am waiting for my Coca Cola bottle collection to become worth millions. My kids are waiting for me to leave my Coca Cola bottle collection unguarded so they can drink it.
* I am waiting for the day my kids will ask me to help them with their homework… and I actually CAN! Unfortunately I don’t think ‘Abacus 101′ is part of the curriculum anymore so this one might be a long wait.
* I am waiting to be the “1 in 10 million odds of winning” the lottery jackpot.
* I am waiting for the Jetsons to come true… I want my own robot to cook and clean for me.
* I’m waiting for my body to stop growing and start shrinking instead. I’ll even settle for ’shrivel’ if it will help me fit into my clothes better.
* I’m waiting for my husband to realize that being a working mother is a whole lot harder than being a working father, especially when he thinks his work ends when when the whistle blows while mine is just beginning. (if that ever happens then it will be well worth waiting for!)

I am a pre-menopausal mother of five... two teenaged daughters, and three older sons, one of whom just completed his second tour in Iraq. I have literally changed thousands of diapers in my years as a mother and more recently as a grandmother. I dream... nay, I live for the day when the proverbial reversal of roles kick in and my kids have the pleasure of changing my diapers.
