Oh yes, different situation, but same effect. Prednisone/steroid meltdowns of epic proportions (ever seen a 2 year old throw an ottoman?). I wanted a sign too. And one that also says, no my child isn't a little piggy...it's called steroids, he's on them to save his life...he's not fat...back off lady with the pinching fingers. My favorite was the lady who said, "Boy he's a healthy one." Seriously? I almost killed her.

A good friend who lives in Denver referred me to this site...I'm a Chicago Mom of 3--ages 11 thru 5 and my youngest son has Autism and I can completely relate to wishing you could hang a sign of "explanation." I have experienced this many times and I could use a sign myself..."no, I really have disciplined my children and yes, I'd love a Xanax with my grande latte"

Thanks for making me laugh!

Why do people do that? WHY? Anna was a very sensitve baby and toddler, couldn't handle too much noise or stimulus or strangers and people would ALWAYS come up to us right inside my personal bubble and try to tickle her or tell her jokes or any number of other stupid things. I swear it's like cats to people with allergies. I suggest business cards saying, "You don't understand, it's none of your business so BACK OFF!".

But, hey, happy ending right? DONUTS!
